Finance Think is a recently established not-for-profit organization for economic research, economic policymaking and advocacy in Macedonia.
Its work covers three main areas: development economics, macroeconomic policies and financial systems. Within these areas, the following topics are researched: i) poverty, inequality, unemployment, access to education and health services, regulatory environment and structural reforms; ii) economic growth, investment, monetary and fiscal policies, trade and exchange rate policies; iii) banking, insurance and pension systems, global financial system and financial integration.
Finance Think has developed an index of future economic activity and an index of financial stability is scheduled for publication in 2013.
The organization is active in blogging and social media communication and, in addition to books and articles, it publishes a quarterly macroeconomic monitor.
Finance Think’s mission is to alleviate poverty, to strengthen macro-financial policies and to advance financial stability through economic research, advise and recommendations for economic policies and steering critical debate on economic processes.
