Mohan PANICKER is trained in economics. For the past five years he has been coordinating the UNCTAD Course on Key International Economic Issues, which still is his main responsibility. His interest is in training public policy officials and academics on key issues on the international economic agenda using UNCTAD's research and expertise. He was also involved in policy clearance of UNCTAD's parliamentary documents, background and research papers and other publications, which gave him invaluable knowledge of and insight into the full range of UNCTAD's intellectual output.
