Newly appointed Director of UNCTAD's Division on Investment and Enterprise (DIAE), James Zhan, takes a look at recent trends of the growing number of International Investment Agreements (IIAs), including bilateral (BITs) and Double Taxation Treaties (DTT), which make up the IIA "Spaguetti Bowl."

Zhan made the presentation covering benefits and challenges of IIAs during UNCTAD's Multi-Year Expert Meeting on Investment for Development held in Geneva in February.
