Vi professional development workshops are organised on an ad-hoc basis according to demand and funding availability. They seek to address specific knowledge and skill requirements among our target population, namely tertiary level teachers and researchers of trade, economics, law and development issues.
The workshops aim to increase developing country academics' knowledge and understanding of substantive trade and economics issues, as well as contribute to the research skills of participants. Additionally, the workshops often aim to bring together researchers and policy makers to discuss and share their experiences and ideas, in accordance with the Vi's desire to see the increased use of evidence-based policymaking in trade and economic development.
