This teaching module is an introduction to multilateral trade negotiations (MTN) strategies, processes and tools aimed at students at developing country universities, in particular in LDCs.

Chapter 1 provides theoretical background on negotiations, examining collaborative and competitive strategies, and the role of a mediator.

Chapter 2 reviews the structure, process, rules and principles of multilateral negotiations and its main forum, the World Trade Organization.

Chapter 3 presents several negotiating tools to be taken into account by developing and Least Developed countries when preparing and conducting their negotiations.
