The Vi provides advice to its member universities on the design of their trade-related programmes and courses. Such advice takes the form of comments on the envisaged structure and content of courses in view of the intended audience, and the selection of background readings and literature.
The Vi provided advisory support for the development of the professional Master of International Trade at the University of Dar es Salaam Business School (Tanzania), the professional Master in International Trade Policy and Negotiations at the Cheikh Anta Diop University (Senegal), the Master in International Trade Law at the Eduardo Mondlane University (Mozambique), the professional Master in International Trade at the University of Abomey-Calavi (Benin). It also advised on the update of a graduate course in International Economics at Cairo University (Egypt), the planned Master in Trade and Development at the Makerere University Business School (Uganda), and the Master in International Trade that is being jointly developed by Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano and Universidad del Valle in Colombia.
Vi advisory support is often complemented by other services - development and local adaptation of teaching materials (available in the website section Resources), and/or professional development.
