About the university: Established in 1917, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE) is one of the leading multi-disciplinary universities in China covering economics, management, law, humanities and science. In 2000, SUFE was designated by the Ministry of Education as an outstanding university for undergraduate teaching as a result of its evaluation. The university has 1,568 teaching and administrative personnel; among them 1007 are faculty members, 535 professors and associate professors. Being one of the first universities approved by the country to offer Ph.D., Master and MBA programs, it now has 48 Ph.D. programs and 74 Master programs including an MBA program. SUFE puts equal emphasis on both undergraduate and graduate education as well as teaching and research. The university has a number of academic institutions such as the School of Economics, the School of Accounting, the School of Finance, the School of International Business Administration, the School of Public Economy and Management, the School of Law, the School of Humanities, the School of Information Management and Engineering, the School of Statistics and Management, the Department of Foreign Languages, the Department of Applied Mathematics, the Department of Physical Education as well as the School of Graduate Studies, the College of Adult Education, the International Education College, the International Cultural Exchange School and the Institute for International Professional Education.
