About the university: Founded in 1964, the University of Burundi is the only public university in the country. With over 13,000 students across eight faculties and three institutes, it aims to provide high quality education and become a university of reference in the sub-region and beyond. The university adopted the BMD (Bachelor-Master-Doctorate) system since the start of the 2011-2012 academic year. It is also part of the interuniversity network of the Great Lakes Countries and the East African Community countries.
Areas of expertise: The Faculty of Economics and Management focuses its research on regional integration, agricultural trade and economics of international trade.
Courses offered: The Faculty of Economics and Management provides a variety of courses in the area of trade and development, ranging from economics of international trade, international trade finance and international economic law to international agricultural trade and regional integration.
