Building knowledge for trade and development

The Shridath Ramphal Centre for International Trade Law, Policy & Services of the University of West Indies in Barbados invites Vi members to apply for the upcoming edition of its MSc. International Trade Policy (MITP), which will begin in September.

Vi members will receive a 25 percent discount off the tuition fee. The application deadline has been extended until February 28.

As the global economy becomes increasingly interconnected, corporations, financial
institutions, government agencies, consulting companies, and NGOs,  seek to hire professionals with a solid understanding of these complex interrelations.

The MITP programme provides practical insight into the dynamic world of trade policy and law to help entry-level and mid-career professionals build a solid foundation in both trade theory, practice and governance.

The in-depth curriculum encourages critical thinking and uses the latest and authoritative texts, coupled with innovative techniques employed by a faculty comprising a unique blend of regional and international scholars, professionals and practitioners.
The practical component of the programme includes a study tour organized in collaboration with the Virtual Institute. The Vi study tour provides students with an unparalleled opportunity to see "trade in action," as they attend meetings at the World Trade Organization (WTO) and UNCTAD, and participate in lectures at various international organizations in Geneva, including WIPO, ITC, ICTSD, IOM, ILO and the South Centre.
