The seventh annual Virtual Institute study tour for Russian members, held April 7-11, comprised 55 students and lecturers from four universities. Participating in this year's edition were the State University Higher School of Economics, the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, the St. Petersburg State University and the North-West Institute. The one-week training programme included 13 sessions on trade and development topics, delivered by experts from UNCTAD’s divisions on Globalization and Development Strategies (GDS), Technology and Logistics, and Investment and Enterprise (DIAE), as well as Virtual Institute partner organizations, the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the International Trade Centre (ITC). Also part of the tour was a discussion with representatives of the country’s delegation in Geneva. |
