Long-time Virtual Institute supporter, the Government of Finland, launched its development policy framework programme for Africa at a meeting held November 20 in Geneva.
As reported in our newsletter, Finland has generously increased its annual contribution to the Vi this year, and has expanded the coverage of activities to include middle-income countries in Sub-Saharan Africa -- great news for our members from the Least Developed Countries and in Kenya and Mauritius.
The Vi team has developed the following videos in an effort to share with network members Finland's priorities for the continent.
Welcome by H.E. Ambassador Hannu Himanen, Permanent Representative of Finland to the UN in Geneva
Introduction to Africa in Finnish development policy - Finland's development policy framework programme by Ms. Ritva Koukku-Ronde, Under-Secretary of State for Development Policy, Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Helsinki
Zambia and Finland – partners in development by H.E. Ambassador Darlington Mwape, Permanent Representative of Zambia to the UN in Geneva
