A partnership with academia

Building knowledge for trade and development

Video and multimedia

Policy makers at both the national and international level are increasingly looking for new strategies to promote more and better employment outcomes in a globalizing world.

At a workshop at the International Labour Organization (ILO) in June 2011, leading academics gathered to discuss the latest findings on the relationship between globalization and labour markets and their impact for policy design.

In this video, participating academics, such as Elhanan Helpman (Harvard), David Autor (MIT) and Margaret McMillan (Tufts U and IFPRI), briefly summarize their work in the area and highlight policy implications.
