Video and multimedia

In this multimedia teaching resource (Spanish), filmed during a special presentation for Vi core Colombian member, Universida EAFIT, Rolf Traeger, Chief of the Least Developed Countries (LDC) Section at UNCTAD, presents the post 2015 development agenda with a focus on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) at the regional level.

The SDGs, much more ambitious than the Millennium Development Goals (MDG), will call for the adoption of new policies both at the international and the national level, Traeger explained.

"It is as essential to reform global environment and economic governance as to adopt new national policies to ensure the success of the SDGs," he said. "However, for the SDGs to be completely effective, local actors and authorities within countries must have a role in the implementation of the SDGs at the regional level."
